How to Purchase Ecuador

Foreword:
Ecuador just passed a new Constitution that follows with the
country’s tradition of protecting private property as one of the fundamental pillars of our economy.
Furthermore, the Constitution
grant’s foreigners exactly the same rights as Ecuadorians. Hence, there are no limits for foreigners to own
and hold real estate in Ecuador. The exception is Galapagos, where Ecuadorians and
foreigners alike are subject to restrictions.
Please note that Ecuadorian
real estate can be purchased to the name of individuals, trusts, corporations and other corporate
entities.
The process:
1. Engage a lawyer
A reputable lawyer should be
engaged from early on in the process. The lawyer will:
